ACO Commercial’s George Toscas, Managing Broker, Completes Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program

ACO Commercial is pleased to announce that George Toscas, Managing Broker, has completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program as part of Cohort 19 at City Colleges of Chicago.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a program for small business owners that links learning to action. Through the program, participants gain practical skills in topics such as negotiation, marketing, and employee management that can immediately be put into action. Through classroom instruction and interaction with their peers and advisor, participants identify their potential weaknesses and receive the tools and professional support to develop a strategic and customized growth plan that will take their business to the next level.

George underwent a rigorous application process and was accepted into Cohort 19 of the program. He was one of 37 business owners admitted, and was named “Best Negotiator” by his class. George recently represented Cohort 19 at the 10K Small Businesses National Summit in Washington D.C. in February, also attended by Warren Buffett, Michael Bloomberg, Richard Branson and Lloyd Blankfein. The group then met with members of the Senate and House of Representatives to discuss challenges that business owners face: http://www.goldmansachs.com/citizenship/10000-small-businesses/US/news-and-events/10000-small-businesses-summit-announcement.html

“I feel very grateful to have been chosen for the program, as the experience proved to be extremely rewarding. I was humbled by the talent and collective network of the Cohort, spanning over many industries. Real estate is the common denominator among business owners, and the user, is changing the competitive landscape.”

The mission of the 10,000 Small Businesses program is to build a self-sustaining community of growth-minded business owners who act to support the consistent growth of their own and their peers’ businesses, become recognized entrepreneurial leaders in their communities, and ultimately contribute to the development of the US economy and society.
